Welcome to My Health & PE Classroom
About Me: I am originally from Mt. Ulla, NC and graduated from West Rowan High School. In addition to running Cross Country I also participated in Soccer and Basketball. It was my athletic experiences in High School that caused me to seek a career in education so that I could continue to carry out the traditions and lessons that I learned on the athletic field.
College(s) Attended/Degrees Earned: I attended Catawba College and earned a Bachelors Degree in Health and Physical Education in 2015. At Catawba I was a 4 year member of the women's soccer team. As a Senior, I was a member of the All-SAC Tournament Team. In addition to being named to the Dean's List my entire team was honored by being named All Academic Scholarly Athletes in the South Atlantic Conference.
In my classes I strive to teach students the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle and promote good character, sportsmanship, and school spirit. My vision is to develop leadership skills and an appreciation for the value of teamwork. I will hold high standards and challenge students to seek personal levels of excellence in a supportive environment. Participation is expected of all students.
