                                  Book Club Assignment:

Choice #1: Choose a book from Ms. Newell’s list.  Complete a pre-reading, post-reading, and Socratic questions as usual, and then complete a book review assignment on the novel.  In place of a discussion there will be a short quiz.

Choice #2: Choose a book of your choice (that is on grade level or above).  Clear your choice with Ms. Newell before beginning.  As you are reading come up with three pre-reading activities that could be helpful for others, three quotes that are important to the novel, and five Socratic questions (like usual).  Then complete a book review on the novel.  In place of discussion, you will share your book review with the class.

**If you do well on this assignment, your book might be added to future book club choices J. **
