Educational Philosophy/Vision:

I believe every child has within him or her the ability to succeed and to do great things. I hold all of my students accountable to high behavioral and academic standards in the classroom, but I will always provide the necessary tools and supports for students to achieve these goals. I believe in working together and showing honor and respect to each other. Teaching good character is an integral part of the educational experience. Students must learn to be respectful, honest, kind, and compassionate in addition to all the other knowledge they will get in my classroom. I know that together we will accomplish great things this year and become the best versions of "us" that we can be.

What we are studying now:

Have a fun, exciting summer! Don't forget to keep reading.

Things parents & guardians can do to help:

Please check your child's agenda every night. Students will keep up with their homework and other important upcoming reminders in the agenda.

Please check to see if your child has additional homework every night. This will be in their homework folder and will match what is written in the agenda.

Read! Read! Read! Reading is so important for students and helps with their academic growth. Please make sure your child reads 20 minutes each night.

Practice math facts. It will be extremely important for all students to be fluent with their multiplication and division facts to make work with sixth-grade math easier.

Ask me questions! If you ever need anything please contact me. I am available to help you and your child with any school needs.
