"Every truth has four corners as a teacher I give you one corner, and it is for you to find the other three." ~ Confucius
Hi there! This is my fifth year at KMS in the seventh grade Language Arts classroom. I love language and the language of language. I also love art and try to incorporate visual art into the curriculum as much as possible. I am looking forward to sharing the year with you as we explore the art of language together.
My vision as an educator is to create a classroom climate that fosters thoughtful and respectful consideration of alternative viewpoints and ideas, personal ownership of learning, and individual construction of personally meaningful knowledge.
Students should have all assignments written in their planner on a daily basis. This is the student's responsibility. Assignments for the week are updated at the beginning of each week.
Every Friday, students will complete a reading response assignment. This is a written assignment relating to their independent reading in and out of class during that week. This may be written or completed on Google Classroom and should be a thoughtful, clear, and concise response to a novel of student choice on their Lexile Level.
This webpage is designed to be a tool to help students and parents stay connected with what is happening this year in math class. I will continue to update and post lessons, notes, and homework that will be valuable to students. The class webpage for assignments and classroom learning experiences can be found below.

How can parents stay connected?
Please check your child's agenda every Monday for weekly assignments and upcoming events. Also, look for Take Home Tuesday folders; they go home with important information each week. For grades and missing assignments, please access the Parent Portal through Power School on a regular basis. There is an active link above for your convenience.
