Welcome to My Multicultural Classroom!
My name is Allison Teague. I am the English as a Second Language teacher at KMS. I teach students whose first language isn't English. I teach in both a sheltered environment and alongside content teachers.
I was born and raised in Indian Trail, North Carolina and graduated from Piedmont High School in Monroe. I have a BA in Spanish with Teacher Certification from Gardner-Webb University and am certified to teach Spanish K-12, General Curriculum Special Education, Middle School Language Arts, Middle School Science, and ESL.
I have taught in three states and I have taught all grade levels and multiple subjects: Spanish, Theater Arts, English as a Second Language, Language Arts, Science, and Math. And...yes...I am bilingual!
My goal as an educator is to prepare students for their futures as contributing members of society. I approach each unit of study with that goal in mind and aim to modify materials and offer accommodations to students as necessary to meet the needs of the diverse learners that are in my classroom. My students will find that I teach cross-curricularly, using every opportunity to weave all academic areas together.
